Project features

The GoU has launched a 1 GW Wind Program, supported by EBRD for the development of wind power projects under the PPP modality (the Program). The Consultant has already supported phase 1 of the Program, a 100 MW wind power plant in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan and currently is supporting further development and implementation of the Second Wind Project (Phase 2) by providing transaction advisory support to the GoU for wind farm project of up to 200 MW. GoU has requested to consider the possibility of coupling the wind farm with battery storage. Juru has performed PFS and FS level BESS studies and is providing transaction advisory during auctions. At PFS stage, BESS size, technology and functions/ application were determined. At the FS stage, further analysis and recommendations for the implementation, operation and concept design of the proposed BESS were provided. Juru’s role extends to full transaction support including BESS transaction structuring, preparation of tender docs, and tendering support until commercial close.

• BESS transaction structuring, preparation of tender docs (PPA’s Technical Schedules, KDD, ItB, Form Sheets) and tendering support until commercial close
