The new 500 kV Koltsevaya substation will be located in Tashkent region and equipped with two 500/220/10 kV autotransformers with the capacity of 801 MVA each. The substation will be connected with the 500 kV Tashkent substation and Syrdarya TPP by new 500 kV overhead transmission lines, with the total length of 72 km, and with Keles, Ozodlik, and Yuksak 220 kV substations by new 220 kV overhead transmission lines, with the total length of 213 km. The new substation will be a critical hub in the regional 500 kV transmission ring connecting to the neighbouring countries and hence contribute to enhanced regional electricity trades. Associated 500 kV and 220 kV overhead transmission lines will be constructed under the Project to connect the new substations to the country’s transmission network.
