Project features

In July 2019, Masdar has signed a PPA with NEGU to design, finance, build and operate a 500 MW wind farm project, which will be located in the Zarafshan district of the Navoi Region. Commercial operation is expected to be achieved in 2024. As part of the project development activities. Masdar contracted IME Enerji and Juru to provide the following services:

• Supply of meteorological masts;
• Shipping and delivery of masts and equipment to site;
• Erection and installation of the mast;
• Commissioning and testing of the mast and the equipment;
• Submission of O&M manuals;
• Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the data logger with satellite/GSM-GPRS system; 
• Data reporting on a monthly basis for period of one year.

Services provided

Wind Measurement Station import, logistic support and customs clearance

• Inspection of shipping documents required for customs clearance;
• Preliminary classification of goods by the “HS” code of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• Coordination of the shipment of equipment to necessary custom’s post and installation site;
• Customs clearance of equipment in Uzbekistan;
• Obtaining necessary certification for the equipment from the relevant organisations in Uzbekistan.

Local support during the installation of wind measurement stations and subsequent maintenance

• Local support during the installation of wind measurement equipment;
• Providing necessary workforce, special technical equipment during installation;
• Maintenance works of the wind measurement equipment.
